Månedens standard er serien IEC 62271 for koblings- og bryteranlegg over 1kV. I Norge er det komité NK 17 som ivaretar norske krav og interesser i videreutvikling av serien. IEC 62271 er en omfattende serie bestående av 36 deler.
Standardserien for spesifikasjon av høyspentbrytere inneholder alt fra de generelle kravene i IEC 62271-1 til krav for testing og grensenitt for kommunikasjon vha IEC 61850. Komité NK 17 berabeider for tiden utgave 2 av de generelle spesifikasjonene i 62271-1. NK 17 er også månedens komité for desember 2016.
