Cables for offshore installations halogen-free and/or mud resistant
NEK/NK 18A has revised NEK TS 606. This specification covers the basic requirements for halogen free and/or mud resistant low and high voltage power, control, lighting, instrumentation, and telecommunication, optical fibre cables, Hydro Carbon Fire resistant (HCF) cables and Jet Fire (JF) resistant cables.

The market lacks sufficient requirements to the selection of cables for offshore installations, which creates a demand for NEK TS 606.
The 6th edition cancels and replaces the 5th edition published 2016 and constitutes a technical revision.
